We’re thrilled to invite you to a heartwarming evening of Christmas carols, celebrity readings, and inspiring stories, all in support of Trussell, an anti-poverty charity and community of food banks who work together to ensure no one in the UK needs a food bank to survive.

  • Traditional Christmas Carols by candlelight: Sing along to your favorite carols, performed by a fantastic gospel choir.
  • Celebrity Guests: Enjoy special readings from actor Sanjeev Kohli and author Val McDermid.
  • Inspiring Stories: Hear inspiring stories from people that highlight the hardship being faced by communities across the UK and the incredible work being done by Trussell food banks as they support people left without enough money to live on.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible? 

There is step-free access to the cathedral and a ramp just inside the building when you enter. Please read more about St Giles' accessibility here.

What time will the event finish? 

The concert will start at 7.00pm and we expect it to finish by approximately 8:15pm. 

What time do the doors open? 

Doors will open at 6.30pm and the concert will start at 7.00pm. 

What seating options are available? 

Seating for the general public is unreserved and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that some seating is reserved for VIP guests and some seats have restricted views due to cathedral pillars.

What’s the best way to get to the venue?

Are refreshments available at the concert? 

Unfortunately, no refreshments are available at the concert.  

Is there an age limit? 

Children must be over 12 years old, and all children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult. 

Are there toilets at the venue?
